Castleton Farms Theatre House
Washington, Virginia

Maestro Lorin Maazel decided to adapt a 1950s chicken coop into a theatre building on the grounds of his home in Washington, Virginia.

The reconstruction and conversion of the structure, which preserved the original stone foundation, now includes a multipurpose theatre suitable for chamber music, dance, and other stage presentations.
